‘Marketing Minds’ by Hashtag Media successfully connects audience with top thought leaders

Marketing Minds, a special event by Hashtag Media that brought some of Sri Lanka’s leading marketing experts on to one stage, was held at the Galadari Hotel recently. The event is the latest in a string of similar events by Hashtag Media and presented the audience with the opportunity to broaden their marketing knowledge by interacting with several top level thought leaders who have made their mark across multiple industries.

The panellists of Marketing Minds included Roshan Tissaaratchy – Director of Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC, Nadeem Shums – Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing Property Development Sector at John Keells Holdings PLC, Sabrina Esufally – Director Business Development and Innovation at Hemas Consumer Brands, Ravi Jayawardena – Group Chief Executive Officer at Maliban Group and Chandana L. Aluthgama – Chief Executive Officer at Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd. The Guest Speaker was Mimi Nicklin – CEO, Podcaster and Global bestselling author. The event was moderated by Fahad Farook.

Marketing Minds was an educational journey with a difference as it provided the audience with a unique experience and gave them ample opportunities to interact with the panellists. One of the key highlights of the evening was the presence of millennial leader, bestselling author and organisational strategist Mimi Nicklin, author of the bestselling book ‘Softening the Edge’. Already a best-seller in the USA, Canada, Australia and the UAE, the book addresses empathy in all its facets and explores how humanity’s oldest leadership trait is changing our world. The presence of Mimi Nicklin was a welcome change as the audience was able to learn from the international experience of a bestselling author who has received outstanding reviews worldwide. Additionally, the spinning wheel concept of generating questions for the panellists proved to be a hit by allowing them to answer unexpected questions that randomly came their way and was well received by both the panellists and the audience. At the end of the evening the audience walked away having gained valuable knowledge and insights about Marketing from each of the experts.
