Vision Care Hearing Solutions Launches Hearing Ambassador Programme

Vision Care Hearing Solutions recently launched its Hearing Ambassador Programme with a special coffee session held at Tiki Bar, Shangri-La Colombo, bringing together a select group of long-standing clients who use Oticon hearing aids and are willing to share their real-life hearing journeys with others.

The programme was created to encourage more open and positive conversations around hearing loss and hearing-aid use. By sharing genuine experiences, Hearing Ambassadors can help others who may still feel uncertain about getting their hearing tested, seeking professional help or using hearing aids.

The launch featured an intimate coffee session with Dr Maureen Doty Tomasula, Senior International Trainer and Consultant for Oticon Export, who joined the ambassadors for a relaxed discussion on the hearing-care journey.

During the session, participants spoke openly about recognising their hearing difficulties, undergoing hearing assessments, adapting to hearing aids and the changes they experienced in everyday communication. The discussion also highlighted the importance of counselling, realistic expectations, family involvement, professional follow-up and continued support as part of successful hearing care.

The informal setting allowed participants to speak naturally and candidly, while also giving the Vision Care Hearing Solutions team valuable insight into hearing care from the patient’s perspective.

As part of the programme, each Hearing Ambassador received a dedicated benefits booklet and loyalty card, giving them access to a range of exclusive benefits across hearing care, optical services and selected partner and sister-company services. Ambassadors will also have opportunities to participate in future awareness initiatives, educational discussions, selected digital content and early trials of new hearing technology.

The Hearing Ambassador Programme reflects Vision Care Hearing Solutions’ continued focus on more personalised, patient-centred hearing care. At its heart is a simple idea: the most powerful message does not come from a perfect speech, but from a real experience.
