Since its founding, Celeste has doubled its turnover approximately every two years, and the appointment supports the next stage of that trajectory.
The appointment forms part of Celeste's broader strategy to strengthen its executive leadership as the company continues expanding its operations, technology and customer experience. As one of Sri Lanka's fastest-growing quick commerce companies, Celeste continues to scale its operations across multiple fulfilment locations to serve a rapidly growing customer base of nearly 200,000 customers. As the company enters its next chapter, the emphasis is not only on growing bigger, but on building the leadership needed to grow better.

Pandithasekera, joins Celeste at a pivotal stage in its growth as the company continues to strengthen its leadership team and scale its operations to support the next phase of its quick commerce journey. He, brings over two decades of executive leadership experience across Commercial, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Business Transformation, with a track record of building high-performing organisations and delivering sustainable business growth. Having built his career across some of the world's leading multinational FMCG companies, including Unilever, Nestlé and Coca-Cola, together with the Maliban Group, he brings a combination of global exposure, strategic commercial leadership and deep local market expertise.
He has led enterprise-wide commercial and business transformation initiatives, modernising operating models, strengthening commercial capabilities and building future-ready organisations. His career has provided extensive international exposure, giving him direct experience of global best practices in commercial leadership, transformation and operational excellence.
In his new role, Pandithasekera will focus on strengthening operational and strategic excellence, execution and scalability across Celeste's business, supporting the company's continued expansion across its fulfilment network while enhancing the technology, operational capabilities and customer experience required to serve its rapidly growing customer base.
